DECKACY is thrilled to announce a pivotal collaboration with the highly respected author and educational pioneer, Lane Anthony. Born in Hackney in the early 60s, Lane has dedicated the last four decades to the field of education, and his profoundly personal journey has been powerfully captured in a series of groundbreaking publications. This collaboration culminates in a momentous achievement: Lane Anthony’s extensive work is now set to form the basis of a Doctor by Publication, with the PhD due to be celebrated in January 2026!
Lane Anthony’s unique insights into neurodiversity stem from his lived experience and decades of professional dedication. His first publication, ‘Autism a Super Power – The Awakening,’ redefined perceptions of neurodiversity. This seminal work illuminates the myriad strengths inherent within neurodivergent individuals, showcasing how unique thought processes can foster unparalleled creativity, meticulous attention to detail, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and a fresh perspective that enriches all aspects of life. It’s a powerful testament to the untapped potential waiting to be recognised.

Building on this foundation, his second compelling publication, ‘The Dynamic Development Plan – A Strengths-based Blueprint for Pupil Support in UK Schools,’ emerged from a critical need for a new approach. This book champions a strength-based perspective, providing a robust framework for identifying and nurturing the unique talents of neurodivergent individuals. It shows how these inherent strengths become the driving force behind a dynamic plan for growth and success, offering practical strategies for teachers, lecturers, SENCOs, inclusion managers, learning support workers, school leaders, and even educational psychologists to transform educational outcomes.

The journey naturally culminates with his third and equally vital publication, ‘Awakening The Workforce: A Blueprint For Neuroinclusive Workplaces.’ This book seamlessly extends the principles of the first two, acting as a vital support network. It guides organisations, corporations, and businesses on how to fundamentally change their approach, enabling them to truly harness the power within the neurodivergent workforce, fostering environments where all can thrive.

Mr. George Matheson, CEO of DECKACY, shared his excitement: “The charity was born in 2013 to raise awareness of neurodiversity in the arts and supporting individuals to allow their gifts to blossom and their skills be recognised. We commissioned Lane Anthony because we believe change can only come from robust research and clear support systems for all to recognise that neurodiversity is not a barrier to success but a door to greatness.” He added, “The charity is excited by the interest already shown for this work and was especially pleased when we were informed that Lane’s work will be part of a PhD due to be celebrated in January 2026.”
Jo Fisher, Chair of the Board and an esteemed educationalist, enthusiastically commented, “As an educationalist, the ecosystem of neurodiversity change is needed, and I am confident Lane’s work, alongside the training to support the creation of the Dynamic Development Plan profiles, supports the change needed to finally recognise the strengths neurodiversity brings.”
We are also thrilled to announce that Lane Anthony will be publishing his third book this September, which we envisage will be a great success! All three of Lane’s insightful books are available now from Amazon, or can be purchased directly from the DECKACY Bookshop at deckacy.org.uk/shop.
Join us in celebrating this incredible milestone as DECKACY continues to champion neurodiversity and open doors to greatness!
