Meet George Matheson

About George Matheson
George Matheson is a passionate advocate for neurodiverse individuals, particularly those with ADHD and dyslexia, within Yorkshire’s vibrant creative arts scene. Dedicated to amplifying African and Caribbean voices across all generations, George creates inclusive opportunities for African and African-Caribbean creatives to thrive.
As an organiser of impactful arts events, he excels at bringing together diverse talents from various backgrounds to foster collaboration and community. Currently, George is collaborating with a skilled scriptwriter and director on an original play, offering a dynamic platform to unite and celebrate collective stories.
Living with ADHD and dyslexia himself, George understands firsthand the challenges of navigating these conditions. He uses his personal experiences to help others reframe their neurodiverse traits as strengths, empowering them to succeed authentically in their creative journeys.
With a deep commitment to innovation, talent development, and inclusivity, George works tirelessly to support emerging artists and build a stronger, more diverse creative arts community in Yorkshire. If you share his passion for the arts and amplifying underrepresented voices, George would love to connect with you.
